For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step.
Recommended desalting product: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL (Product #89882).

Required for DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs) formation in unsynapsed regions during meiotic recombination.
Likely forms a complex with MEI4 and REC114, activating DSBs formation in unsynapsed regions—an essential step for synapsis completion.
Not required for HORMAD1 functions in pairing-independent synaptonemal complex formation, ATR recruitment to unsynapsed axes, meiotic silencing of unsynapsed chromatin (MSUC), or meiotic surveillance.
