Target Information

C9 neoantigen is a target gene that is involved in the immune systems response to cancer cells. Neoantigens are proteins that are produced by cancer cells and are not present in normal cells. C9 neoantigen is a protein fragment that is produced when the C9 protein is broken down by enzymes in the cancer cells. The immune system recognizes these neoantigens as foreign and mounts an attack against the cancer cells. C9 neoantigen is being studied as a potential target for cancer immunotherapy, which involves using the patients own immune system to fight cancer.
