Monoclonal antibody Ba103 recognizes mouse CD200 Receptor-like 3 (CD200R3).
This antibody activates basophils ex vivo and induces systemic anaphylaxis in vivo.
Cross-linking of CD200R3 on MC/9 cells by Ba103 induces degranulation and is useful for basophil depletion.
It does not cross-react with CD200R, CD200R2, CD200R4, or CD200R5.
Target Information
CD200R3 (CD200RLb) is a dimeric cell surface receptor belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily.
It contains two Ig-like extracellular domains and associates with adaptor molecules such as DAP12, and possibly DAP10, CD3 zeta, and FcR gamma-chain, enabling stimulatory signal transduction.
CD200R3 is expressed primarily by basophils and mast cells, key players in anti-parasitic and allergic responses.
Surface expression of CD200R3 decreases rapidly (within 30 minutes) after basophil activation via CD16 and CD32 ligation.
Unlike CD200R, CD200R3 does not bind CD200.
