Product Specific Information
- For IHC with PFA-fixed tissues: incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
- For formalin-fixed tissues: heat sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes.
Target Information
Immunoglobulins share a basic structure of two heavy and two light chains (kappa and lambda). Kappa and lambda chains each have variable and constant regions, distinguishable by their antigenic properties. The typical kappa to lambda ratio is 70:30.
Antibodies against kappa light chains are useful for identifying leukemias, plasmacytomas, and certain non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas. Detection of clonality in lymphoid infiltrates indicates malignancy.
