Alexa Fluor™ Plus recombinant antibodies utilize proprietary dye chemistry for enhanced brightness and improved signal-to-noise ratio compared to traditional Alexa Fluor conjugates. These recombinant antibodies ensure superior specificity and lot-to-lot consistency, as they are produced by cloning genes encoding the desired antibody into an expression vector and expressed in vitro.

Usage Note:
Before use, briefly centrifuge the conjugate solution and use only the supernatant to minimize nonspecific background staining caused by aggregates.

Target Information

CD28 antigen is a 44 kDa disulfide-linked homodimeric T cell surface glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is constitutively expressed on most peripheral blood T lymphocytes and functions as a critical co-stimulatory receptor by binding CD80 and CD86 on antigen-presenting cells. CD28 prevents T cells from entering an anergic state or premature apoptosis. In mice, CD28 is expressed on all CD4⁺ and CD8⁺ T cells in peripheral lymphoid organs and blood, with expression levels varying throughout thymocyte maturation stages.
