Antibody detects endogenous levels of total p107.
Target Information
RB-like 1 (RBL1) is similar in sequence and function to the retinoblastoma 1 (RB1) gene product, a tumor suppressor protein involved in cell cycle regulation.
Both RB1 and RB-like 1 proteins interact with adenovirus E1A protein and SV40 large T-antigen, binding only in the unphosphorylated state.
These proteins inhibit transcription of cell cycle genes containing E2F binding sites, suggesting RB-like 1 also acts as a tumor suppressor due to its biochemical similarity with RB1.
