Target Information
The SPARC gene encodes a cysteine-rich acidic matrix-associated protein. This protein is essential for bone collagen calcification and extracellular matrix synthesis and influences cell shape. It has roles in tumor suppression and metastasis regulation. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
