For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

CD31 (platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1, PECAM-1) is an inhibitory coreceptor involved in the regulation of T cell and B cell signaling through dual immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs (ITIMs). Upon phosphorylation by associated kinases, these motifs provide docking sites for protein-tyrosine phosphatases.
CD31 is ubiquitously expressed within the vascular system, mainly at junctions between adjacent endothelial cells. Its N-terminal Ig-like domain mediates homophilic binding, critical for cell-cell interactions.
CD31 plays multifunctional roles in integrin-mediated cell adhesion, transendothelial migration, angiogenesis, apoptosis, immune regulation, and thrombosis, making it a key regulatory molecule in vascular biology.
