Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
CD31 (platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1, PECAM-1) is an inhibitory coreceptor regulating T and B cell signaling through immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs (ITIMs). It is ubiquitously expressed in the vascular system, primarily at cell junctions.
The N-terminal Ig-like domain mediates homophilic binding, essential for cell-cell interactions. CD31 plays diverse roles in:
- Integrin-mediated cell adhesion
- Transendothelial migration
- Angiogenesis and apoptosis
- Negative regulation of immunoreceptor signaling
- Autoimmunity and macrophage phagocytosis
- IgE-mediated anaphylaxis and thrombosis
It is a key regulatory molecule in vascular biology.
