세 가지 procarboxypeptidase A와 두 가지 procarboxypeptidase B가 분리되어 있으며, B1과 B2 형태는 주로 등전점에서 차이를 보입니다.
Carboxypeptidase B1은 조직 특이성이 매우 높은 단백질로, 급성 췌장염과 췌장이식 기능 장애의 혈청 마커로 유용합니다.
췌장암에서는 농도가 상승하지 않습니다.
