This product is preservative free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%).

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

ECM1 (extracellular matrix protein 1) regulates extracellular matrix organization and cell adhesion. It is expressed in tissues such as skin, lung, and liver, and is involved in disease processes including cancer and dermatological disorders. ECM1 interacts with proteins like collagen and fibronectin, influencing cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. It also contributes to bone formation, angiogenesis, and tumor biology, maintaining skin integrity and homeostasis.

Mutations in ECM1 are associated with lipoid proteinosis (Urbach-Wiethe disease), characterized by thickening of skin and mucosae. Alternative splicing results in multiple isoforms of ECM1. Diseases linked to ECM1 include Lipoid Proteinosis of Urbach and Wiethe and Lichen Sclerosus et Atrophicus.
