Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The FGG gene encodes the gamma component of fibrinogen, a blood-borne glycoprotein composed of three pairs of nonidentical polypeptide chains. Upon vascular injury, fibrinogen is cleaved by thrombin to form fibrin—the major component of blood clots.
Cleavage products of fibrinogen and fibrin regulate cell adhesion and spreading, possess vasoconstrictor and chemotactic properties, and act as mitogens for various cell types.
Mutations in FGG are associated with disorders such as dysfibrinogenemia, hypofibrinogenemia, and thrombophilia. Alternative splicing yields two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms.
