Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
GBA3, also known as cytosolic beta-glucosidase (EC 3.2.1.21), is a liver-predominant enzyme that efficiently hydrolyzes beta-D-glucoside and beta-D-galactoside. It is not known to act on physiologic beta-glycosides, suggesting a potential role in detoxification of plant glycosides.
Additionally, GBA3 exhibits neutral glycosylceramidase activity (EC 3.2.1.62), indicating involvement in a nonlysosomal catabolic pathway of glucosylceramide metabolism.
