Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The ADAM22 gene encodes a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease domain) family. These membrane-anchored proteins are structurally related to snake venom disintegrins and are involved in various biological processes including cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions, fertilization, muscle development, and neurogenesis. ADAM22 is highly expressed in the brain and may function as an integrin ligand. Alternative splicing results in several transcript variants.
