Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
ATP-specific succinyl-CoA synthetase functions in the citric acid (TCA) cycle, coupling the hydrolysis of succinyl-CoA to the synthesis of ATP. This represents the only step of substrate-level phosphorylation in the TCA cycle. The beta subunit provides nucleotide specificity and binds succinate, while the alpha subunit contains binding sites for coenzyme A and phosphate.
