The 6C3 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse BP-1 (Ly-51, 6C3 antigen), a 140 kDa type II transmembrane protein functioning as a disulfide-linked homodimer with aminopeptidase A (APA) activity. It is expressed on bone marrow stromal cells, thymic cortical epithelial cells, and early-stage pre-B cells. BP-1 expression on pre-B cells can be upregulated by IL-7.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Validated for flow cytometric analysis of mouse bone marrow cells at ≤1 µg/test. One test corresponds to the antibody amount required for staining a 100 µL cell sample, typically 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimal titration is recommended.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
CD249 plays a role in the catabolic pathway of the renin-angiotensin system and may regulate growth and differentiation of early B-lineage cells.
