Product Specific Information

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Target Information

Complement factor D is a serine protease involved in the alternative pathway of complement activation. It is a single-chain polypeptide with a molecular mass of approximately 25 kDa. Factor D cleaves factor B bound to C3b, generating the alternative pathway C3 convertase (C3bBb) and releasing the Ba fragment.
