Product Specific Information
- Store vial at -20°C prior to opening.
- Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage.
- Avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
- Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
- Stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.

Assay Results:
Immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Rabbit Serum and purified/partially purified GFP (Aequorea victoria).
No cross-reactivity observed with Human, Mouse, or Rat serum proteins.
Target Information
The jellyfish Aequorea victoria produces Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP), which emits green light during bioluminescence. GFP is widely used as a reporter protein for gene expression in both eukaryotic and prokaryotic systems, and as a fusion tag for protein localization and movement studies.
- GFP is a 27 kDa monomeric protein that forms a fluorescent pigment autocatalytically.
- Absorbs blue light (max 395 nm) and emits green light (peak 508 nm).
- Functions independently of additional proteins, substrates, or cofactors.
- GFP fluorescence is stable and species-independent.
- Commonly used in gene expression monitoring, protein localization, protein–protein interaction assays, and FRET experiments.
