Target Information
Frequenin은 neuronal calcium sensor 유전자군에 속하며, 주로 뉴런에서 발현되는 칼슘 결합 단백질을 암호화합니다. 이 단백질은 칼슘 의존적으로 G protein-coupled receptor의 인산화를 조절하며, calmodulin을 대체할 수 있습니다. 또한 분비 과립과 연관되어 시냅스 전달 및 시냅스 가소성을 조절합니다. 다양한 isoform을 암호화하는 다수의 전사 변이체가 보고되었습니다.
