Target Information
E-Cadherin(상피 카드헤린)은 칼슘 의존적 세포-세포 부착 단백질로, cadherin 슈퍼패밀리에 속하는 고전적 cadherin입니다.
이 단백질은 5개의 세포외 cadherin 반복, 막관통 영역, 그리고 보존된 세포질 꼬리로 구성되어 있습니다.
E-cadherin의 유전적 변이는 위암, 유방암, 대장암, 갑상선암, 난소암 등과 연관되어 있으며, 발현 감소 또는 결손은 암의 침윤 및 전이 가능성과 관련이 있습니다.
또한 세포 성장과 조직 구조 유지에 중요한 역할을 하며, 인간에서는 CDH1 유전자(염색체 16번)에 의해 암호화됩니다.
