Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing.
Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
RFP Antibody was prepared from egg yolks by a multi-step process which includes filtration, delipidation, salt fractionation, and extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above.
RFP Antibody was tested by western blot and immunoelectrophoresis against anti-biotin, anti-chicken serum, and RFP.
Target Information
Red Fluorescent Protein (RFP) is isolated from sea anemone (Discosoma sp., Uniprot ID: Q9U6Y8), and commonly used as a molecular tag to study protein localization, reporter gene expression, and protein-protein interactions.
Although it exists as a homotetramer, monomeric variants have been constructed for use in various applications.
