Product Specific Information

Description:
The AER-37 monoclonal antibody reacts with the FcεRIα subunit, an IgE-binding subunit lacking signal-transducing ability. FcεRIα is expressed on mast and basophil cells and is upregulated by the presence of IgE. It forms a tetrameric complex with one beta and two gamma subunits, which possess ITAM motifs. The FcεRI complex plays a key role in triggering IgE-mediated allergic reactions.

Applications Reported:
AER-37 (CRA1) antibody is reported for use in flow cytometric analysis and does not block IgE binding.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of peripheral blood cells at ≤1 µg/test. A test is defined as the amount (µg) of antibody staining a cell sample in 100 µL. Recommended to titrate for optimal performance.
Cell number range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Purity: >90% (SDS-PAGE)
Aggregation: <10% (HPLC)
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered


Target Information

FceR1 (Fc epsilonR1 alpha) is a subunit of the high-affinity receptor for IgE. It forms a tetrameric complex (one alpha, one beta, two gamma subunits). The receptor initiates allergic responses by coupling allergen-bound IgE with mast cells, leading to mediator release such as histamine, prostaglandins, and leukotrienes—key effectors of hypersensitivity reactions like hay fever and asthma.
