Target Information
Profilin은 12–15 kDa의 소형 인산이노시티드 및 poly-L-proline 결합 단백질로, 신호 전달 경로와 액틴 필라멘트 역학에 관여합니다.
두 가지 주요 형태(Profilin I, Profilin II)가 존재하며, Profilin I은 대부분의 조직에서 높게 발현되지만 골격근에서는 낮게 발현됩니다. Profilin II는 주로 뇌에서 발현되며, 골격근, 자궁, 신장 등에서는 낮은 수준으로 존재합니다. Profilin은 주로 세포질 내에 존재하며, 세포막의 동적 부위(leading edge, ruffling membrane)에서 높은 농도로 발견됩니다.
