This product is preservative-free. It is recommended to add sodium azide (final concentration 0.05%–0.1%) to avoid contamination.
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information
Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) regulates survival and differentiation of neuronal and nonneuronal cells by binding to high- and low-affinity cell surface receptors. Only the high-affinity receptor mediates signal transduction.
Studies show the high-affinity receptor of rat PC12 cells forms a 158 kDa complex with NGF, while the low-affinity receptor forms a 100 kDa complex. Human and rat NGF receptor genes share over 90% sequence homology.
NGF promotes nerve growth and differentiation of sympathetic and sensory neurons, and its gene mutations are linked to hereditary sensory and autonomic neuropathy type 5 (HSAN5). Dysregulation of NGF expression is also associated with allergic rhinitis.
