Product Specific Information
This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey, Bovine, Pig, and Mouse.
Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They consist of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, combining the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity and consistency of monoclonal antibodies.
These antibodies recognize multiple epitope sites on the target, providing higher detection sensitivity for low-abundance targets. Each lot contains a defined mixture of recombinant light and heavy chains, ensuring reproducibility and eliminating biological variability common in polyclonal production.
Note: Formerly called “Recombinant Polyclonal Antibody”, now rebranded as “Recombinant Superclonal™ Antibody”. The product and performance remain unchanged.
Target Information
Isocitrate dehydrogenases catalyze the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate to 2-oxoglutarate. These enzymes fall into two subclasses: NAD-dependent and NADP-dependent.
Five isocitrate dehydrogenases have been reported—three NAD-dependent (mitochondrial) and two NADP-dependent (one mitochondrial, one cytosolic).
The IDH2 gene encodes the mitochondrial NADP-dependent isocitrate dehydrogenase, which plays a key role in intermediary metabolism and energy production, and may associate with the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex.
