This antibody detects endogenous levels of Smad2 only when phosphorylated at Ser245.
Target Information
SMAD2 (MADH2, MAD2)는 세포 증식, 세포사멸, 분화 등 다양한 세포 과정을 조절하는 단백질입니다.
SMAD2는 TGF-β 수용체와 상호작용하여 신호 전달의 핵심 역할을 하며, 인산화에 의해 SMAD4와 결합하여 핵으로 이동해 전사 억제 복합체를 형성합니다.
ERK1에 의한 MH1 도메인의 칼모듈린 결합 영역 인산화는 SMAD2의 전사 활성화를 증가시키며, 칼모듈린에 의해 음성 조절됩니다.
또한 SMAD2는 activin type 1 receptor kinase에 의해 인산화되어 activin 신호를 매개하며, 다양한 전사 변이체가 보고되었습니다.
