ATP7A는 대부분의 정상 조직에서는 발현되지 않지만, 여러 종양 조직에서 발현이 증가하며, 이는 시스플라틴 및 카보플라틴 내성과 관련이 있습니다.
ATP7A 유전자의 돌연변이는 유아기 치명적인 Menkes 병을 유발합니다.
