Preparation
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Murine IL-22. Anti-Murine IL-22-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA
To detect mIL-22 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Murine IL-22 (500-P223) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant mIL-22.

Western Blot
To detect mIL-22 by Western Blot analysis, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. When used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant mIL-22 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

IL-22, also known as IL-10-related T-cell derived inducible factor, is an alpha-helical cytokine belonging to the IFN–IL-10 family, which includes IL-19, IL-20, IL-24, IL-26, IL-28, IL-29, and type I/II interferons. It is produced mainly by activated T cells and NK cells.
In humans, the IL-22 gene is located on chromosome 12q and is structurally related to IL-10. IL-22 acts through a heterodimeric receptor complex composed of IL-22R1 and IL-10R2. Binding induces JAK-STAT signaling and regulates genes associated with innate immunity, particularly in nonimmune cells such as keratinocytes, hepatocytes, and epithelial cells of the skin, digestive, and respiratory systems.
IL-22 is co-expressed with IL-17A and IL-17F by Th17 cells and plays roles in inflammation, host defense, and tissue repair. It is upregulated during chronic inflammation and mediates STAT3 activation, promoting antimicrobial responses and wound healing.
