Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Murine IL-22. Anti-Murine IL-22-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Murine IL-22 matrix.
Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Murine IL-22 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. In conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Murine IL-22 (500-P223Bt) as a detection antibody, it enables detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Murine IL-22.
Western Blot:
To detect Murine IL-22 by Western Blot analysis, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. With compatible secondary reagents, detection limit for Recombinant Murine IL-22 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Target Information
IL-22, also known as IL-10-related T-cell derived inducible factor, is an alpha-helical cytokine belonging to the IFN-IL-10 family (including IL-19, IL-20, IL-24, IL-26, IL-28, IL-29, and type I/II interferons).
Produced mainly by activated T cells and NK cells, IL-22 acts via the heterodimeric receptor complex IL-22R1 and IL-10R2. Binding induces JAK-STAT signaling. A soluble IL-22BP receptor antagonizes IL-22 binding and signaling.
IL-22 primarily targets nonimmune cells (skin, digestive, respiratory systems, hepatocytes, keratinocytes). It functions as an effector cytokine of Th17 cells, regulating genes associated with innate immunity, antimicrobial protein induction, and keratinocyte mobility. IL-22 is critical for host defense against extracellular pathogens and promotes wound healing. Upregulated in activated T cells, IL-22 mediates IL-23-induced acanthosis and dermal inflammation through STAT3 activation.
