In direct ELISAs, no cross-reactivity with recombinant human Integrin beta 1, beta 2, recombinant mouse Integrin beta 4, or beta 6 is observed.
Target Information
CD61 (GPIIIa, ITGB3) is a glycoprotein found on megakaryocytes, platelets, and their precursors.
It plays a role in platelet aggregation and acts as a receptor for fibrinogen, fibronectin, von Willebrand factor, and vitronectin.
CD61 (105 kDa) associates with either αIIb integrin (CD41) or αV integrin (CD51) at the cell surface.
It is expressed on platelets, megakaryocytes, endothelial cells, monocytes, and osteoclasts.
CD61 participates in cell adhesion and signaling; dysfunctions are linked to Glanzmann Thrombasthenia and Platelet type-16 Bleeding Disorder.
