Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening of individual clones to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information
Caspases are a family of cysteine proteases divided into apoptotic and inflammatory subfamilies. Members of the inflammatory subfamily, including caspase-1, -4, -5, and -12, are associated with immune responses to microbial pathogens rather than cell death. Caspase-1 activates proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β and IL-18 and was initially identified as an IL-1β-converting enzyme. It is also homologous to the C. elegans cell death gene ced-3, and its overexpression can induce apoptosis in fibroblasts.
