Product Specific Information

Reconstitute with 1 mL of distilled water.
After reconstitution, store product undiluted at 4ºC in the dark.

For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10^6 cells in 100 µL.

Mouse anti-Rat OX-62 antibody, clone OX-62 recognizes the OX-62 antigen (rat alpha E2 integrin), a 1150 amino acid, approximately 130 kDa single-pass type I transmembrane protein.
It is expressed by intestinal dendritic cells, dendritic epidermal T cells, intraepithelial lymphocytes in the small intestine, and by cells of dendritic morphology in lymphoid organs where γδ T cells are present.

Target Information

CD103 (ITGAE, Integrin alpha E) is expressed on mucosa-associated T lymphocytes and activated cells, as well as a subset of TGF-β1 cells.
It consists of a 150 kDa alpha chain and a 120 kDa beta chain.
CD103 is expressed by 0.5–2% of resting lymphocytes in peripheral blood and lymphoid organs, staining a few bone marrow cells and rarely peripheral blood lymphocytes.

CD103 belongs to the integrin family, composed of heterodimeric integral membrane proteins (alpha and beta chains).
ITGAE encodes an I-domain-containing alpha integrin that undergoes post-translational cleavage, yielding disulfide-linked heavy and light chains.
In combination with beta7 integrin, CD103 forms the E-cadherin binding integrin (human mucosal lymphocyte-1 antigen).
CD103 is preferentially expressed in human intestinal intraepithelial lymphocytes (IEL) and may act as an accessory molecule for IEL activation.
