Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information
RNA polymerase II is the enzyme responsible for synthesizing mRNA and many non-coding RNAs. The POLR2A gene encodes the RNA polymerase II subunit B1 (RPB1), the largest subunit of RNA polymerase II.
The C-terminal domain (CTD) of RPB1 contains tandem heptapeptide repeats with the consensus sequence YSPTSPS.
Phosphorylation and other modifications within this sequence regulate the recruitment of transcription and RNA processing factors.
Phosphorylation at Serine-2 and Serine-5 coordinates recruitment of RNA processing factors during transcription elongation.
