Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned, and individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
RNA polymerase II is responsible for synthesizing mRNA and many non-coding RNAs. The POLR2A gene encodes the largest subunit (RPB1) of RNA polymerase II.
The C-terminal domain (CTD) of RPB1 contains tandem heptapeptide repeats with the consensus sequence YSPTSPS.
Phosphorylation and other modifications within this sequence regulate transcription cycle progression and the recruitment of RNA processing factors.
Phosphorylation at Serine-2 and Serine-5 residues within the CTD plays a key role in coordinating transcription elongation and RNA processing.
