Target Information
Myc는 세포 주기 진행, 세포사멸(apoptosis), 세포 변형(cellular transformation)에 관여하는 핵 인산화 단백질을 암호화하는 원암유전자(proto-oncogene)입니다. 이 단백질은 전사인자 MAX와 이합체를 형성하여 E box DNA 서열에 결합하고 특정 표적 유전자의 전사를 조절합니다. Myc 유전자의 증폭은 다양한 인간 암에서 자주 관찰되며, Burkitt 림프종과 다발성 골수종 환자에서 이 유전자가 관여하는 전위(translocation)가 보고되었습니다. 번역은 상류의 비-AUG(CUG) 및 하류의 AUG 시작 코돈에서 모두 시작되어 N-말단이 다른 두 가지 이소형을 생성합니다.
