Target Information
Histone methyltransferase로서, histone H3의 Lys-4를 단일 메틸화하여 전사 활성화를 유도하는 표지 역할을 합니다.
Collagenase 및 insulin 유전자 발현 조절에 중요한 역할을 하며, IPF1/PDX-1에 의해 insulin promoter로 모집되어 전사를 활성화합니다.
또한 p53/TP53, TAF10, TAF7 등 비히스톤 단백질에도 메틸화 활성을 가지며, p53의 안정화 및 전사 활성 증가에 기여합니다.
