Target Information
Mammalian Sin3 (mSin3) is a 150 kDa protein closely related to the yeast SIN3 repressor protein involved in the transcriptional repression of many genes. There are two mammalian isoforms, mSin3A and mSin3B. Containing four paired amphipathic helix domains (PAH domains), mSin3A and mSin3B directly interact with several transcriptional repressor proteins, including HDAC1, HDAC2, RbAp46, MeCP2, Mad/Max heterodimer, SMRT, and N-CoR.
