- Mouse anti-Human Integrin alpha 9 beta 1 antibody, clone Y9A2, recognizes the human alpha9 integrin (~140 kDa glycoprotein) expressed as a heterodimer with beta1 integrin.
Target Information
Integrins are heterodimeric proteins composed of alpha and beta subunits. At least 18 alpha and 8 beta subunits have been described in mammals. Integrin family members are membrane receptors involved in cell adhesion and recognition in processes such as embryogenesis, hemostasis, tissue repair, immune response, and tumor metastasis.
This gene encodes a beta subunit, and multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
