Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. Purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
FGF23 is a member of the fibroblast growth factor family, which exhibits broad mitogenic and cell survival activities. It is involved in embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth, and invasion. The FGF23 protein inhibits renal tubular phosphate transport and is associated with autosomal dominant hypophosphatemic rickets and oncogenic hypophosphatemic osteomalacia. Mutations in this gene can also lead to familial tumoral calcinosis with hyperphosphatemia.
