Product Specific Information
The SHLR17 monoclonal antibody reacts with human interleukin (IL)-17F, a 34 kDa homodimeric cytokine belonging to the IL-17 family. IL-17F and IL-17A are produced primarily by Th17 cells and exhibit overlapping yet distinct functions. IL-17F binds to a heterodimeric receptor complex (IL-17RA/IL-17RC), inducing secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines, and promoting neutrophil recruitment.
This antibody is validated for intracellular staining followed by flow cytometric analysis. Recommended usage is 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test in a final volume of 100 µL. Cell number can range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test depending on experimental conditions.
eFluor® 660 serves as a replacement for Alexa Fluor® 647, excited by a red laser (633 nm) and emitting at 659 nm. Ensure instrument compatibility with this fluorochrome.

Target Information
IL-17F (Interleukin 17F, CTLA-8) is a cytokine produced by activated T cells, mast cells, and basophils. It plays a key role in allergic airway inflammation and induces cytokines and chemokines in bronchial epithelial cells, endothelial cells, fibroblasts, and eosinophils. IL-17F may form homodimers or heterodimers with IL-17A, binding to IL-17R to recruit monocytes and neutrophils and stimulate production of TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, and IL-8. IL-17F is implicated in chronic inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and multiple sclerosis.
