Product Specific Information
In direct ELISAs and Western blots, approximately 50% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse CA14, 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant human CA5A, and no cross-reactivity with rhCA1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, or 13 is observed.
Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
CA14 belongs to a large family of zinc metalloenzymes that catalyze the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide.
The protein is predicted to be a type I membrane protein and shares highest sequence similarity with the other transmembrane CA isoform, CA XII.
However, they have different patterns of tissue-specific expression and may play distinct physiological roles.
