Mouse anti-Horse CD13 antibody, clone CVS19, recognizes the equine CD13 cell surface antigen (Aminopeptidase N), a single-pass type II membrane protein of 150–170 kDa belonging to the peptidase N family.
Reconstitute by adding 1 mL distilled water before use.
Target Information
CD13 (ANPEP) is a 150–170 kDa type II transmembrane zinc-binding ectopeptidase expressed on various cell types. It catalyzes removal of neutral amino acids from small peptides, influencing activation or inactivation of bioactive peptides.
CD13 plays roles in:
- Extracellular matrix degradation
- Antigen processing and signal transduction
- Inflammatory response regulation
- Cell motility and vascularization
CD13 is expressed by granulocytes, monocytes, and myeloid leukemia cells, contributing to leukemic cell protection against apoptosis and correlating with poor carcinoma prognosis. It also serves as an alpha receptor for coronavirus.
