Mouse anti-Horse CD13 antibody, clone CVS19 recognizes the equine CD13 cell surface antigen (Aminopeptidase N), a single-pass type II membrane protein belonging to the peptidase N family with a molecular weight between 150–170 kDa.
Target Information
CD13 (ANPEP) is a 150–170 kDa type II transmembrane zinc-binding ectopeptidase expressed on various cell types. It functions as a metalloprotease that removes neutral amino acids from small peptides, thereby modulating bioactive peptide activity. CD13 participates in extracellular matrix degradation, antigen processing, and signal transduction. It plays roles in inflammatory responses, intercellular contact regulation, cell motility, and vascularization. CD13 is expressed by granulocytes, monocytes, and myeloid leukemia cells and is associated with poor carcinoma prognosis. It also serves as an alpha receptor for coronavirus.
