Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

The ARID1A gene encodes a member of the SWI/SNF family, which includes proteins with helicase and ATPase activities that regulate transcription by modifying chromatin structure. The encoded protein is part of the ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex SNF/SWI, essential for transcriptional activation of genes repressed by chromatin.

Functional Domains:

• DNA-binding domain that binds AT-rich sequences recognized by the SNF/SWI complex
• C-terminal domain that stimulates glucocorticoid receptor-dependent transcriptional activation

The ARID1A protein confers specificity to the SNF/SWI complex and may recruit it to target sites via protein-DNA or protein-protein interactions. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
