Target Information
Ribosomes are the organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consisting of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. These subunits include 4 RNA species and approximately 80 distinct proteins. RPS24 is a ribosomal protein component of the 40S subunit and belongs to the S24E family. It is located in the cytoplasm. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified, and several processed pseudogenes of this gene are dispersed throughout the genome.
