Target Information
PIK3CG (p110 gamma)는 class IB phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase 계열의 유일한 멤버로, class IA family와 함께 중요한 second messenger인 PIP2를 생성합니다. Class IA 효소가 receptor tyrosine kinases 하류에서 신호를 전달하는 반면, PIK3CG는 주로 GPCR 하류에서 신호를 전달합니다. 이 유전자의 산물은 inositol ring의 3-hydroxyl group에서 phosphoinositides를 인산화하는 효소입니다. E-cadherin 매개 세포 간 접착에 의해 유도되는 신호 등 다양한 세포외 신호의 조절자로서 상피 구조 및 기능의 유지에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한 NK 세포의 세포독성 조절에도 관여하며, 이 유전자는 이전에 골수성 백혈병에서 확인된 염색체 7의 결손 구간에 위치합니다.
