Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The BCKDHA gene encodes the E1-alpha subunit of the branched-chain alpha-keto acid dehydrogenase complex (BCKD).
This complex consists of:
- A heterotetrameric (α2-β2) decarboxylase (E1)
- A homo-24-meric dihydrolipoyl transacylase
- A homodimeric dihydrolipoamide dehydrogenase
E1 is a thiamine pyrophosphate (TPP)-dependent enzyme, catalyzing the irreversible first step in branched-chain amino acid oxidation.
The BCKDHB gene encodes the beta subunit of E1.
The complex also includes two regulatory enzymes: a kinase and a phosphorylase.
