Product Specific Information
This antibody recognizes an extracellular epitope on CD64/FcgammaRI, a 72 kDa single-chain type I glycoprotein expressed on monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, and activated granulocytes. The epitope is sensitive to formalin fixation.
Target Information
CD64 (FCGR1A) encodes a high-affinity Fc-gamma receptor that plays an important role in the immune response. It is one of three related gene family members located on chromosome 1. Dysfunction of CD64 has been associated with cervical adenitis and tetrasomy 21.
