- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

Target Information
Interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) is a proinflammatory cytokine expressed by monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells. It is produced as a 31 kDa inactive pro-form that accumulates in the cytosol and is cleaved into an active 17 kDa form via inflammasome activation. IL-1β signals through IL-1RI and IL-1RII receptors, shared with IL-1α. Its activity can be inhibited by IL-1 Receptor Antagonist (IL-1RA). IL-1β plays a crucial role in innate immune defense and inflammatory responses, and its elevated levels are associated with chronic inflammatory conditions.
