In direct ELISAs and Western blots, approximately 20% cross-reactivity with recombinant human MPIF-1 is observed.
This antibody neutralizes the biological activity of human CCL23/Ck beta 8-1 and also neutralizes recombinant human MPIF-1 at a 10-fold higher Ig concentration.
Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Endotoxin level is <0.20 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.

Target Information

The CCL23 gene is one of several chemokine genes clustered on the q-arm of chromosome 17.
Chemokines form a superfamily of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes.
This chemokine, a member of the CC subfamily, shows chemotactic activity on resting T lymphocytes and monocytes, lower activity on neutrophils, and no activity on activated T lymphocytes.
It acts as a strong suppressor of colony formation by multipotential hematopoietic progenitor cells and as a potent agonist of the chemokine (C-C motif) receptor 1.
Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
